Carpe Diem School proudly marked World Asthma Day through a meaningful initiative led by Dr Corli Lodder from the Allergy & Asthma Clinic George, with the sponsorship of NAEP and Dr Lodder.
Our learners were educated about asthma—its causes, management, and the correct use of medication—equipping them with valuable knowledge to better understand and care for their health.
As part of the day, learners also participated in an inspiring art competition aimed at raising awareness. This year, we were excited to include a new sculpture category, adding a creative and engaging dimension to the event.
A sincere thank you to our judges, Ian Visser and Anthony Noble, for their time and expertise.
We also extend our gratitude to Little Art Shop for providing a discount on art supplies, and to Stella Visicale from Diskonto for sponsoring caps for our winners.
Congratulations to all our learners on their beautiful World Asthma Awareness artwork—we are incredibly proud of you!
Thank you to our teachers: Elriette Schwim, Marcelle Marais & Amanda Grewar for their hard work in organising this event.
